Our Oat Malt comes from our friends at Montana Craft Malt. The MCM Oat Malt is used to develop haze in many beer styles, mainly New England IPAs. It imparts soft earthy and grainy flavors and creates silky smooth mouthfeel. Recommended usage rate of <30%.
Can be used in NEIPAs, Hazy IPAs, Oatmeal Stouts, and Porters. The high protein and lipid content add to the rich, silky, and velvety texture. The fatty acids of Oat Malt contribute to a fine and stable haze without the need for other adjuncts.
