Our Melanoidin Gold malt comes from our friends at Montana Craft Malt. MCM Cara Ruby employs a traditional German recipe to produce a high level of complex malt characteristics. MCM’s Melanoidin Gold is typically lower in color than most melanoidin style malts on the market. This malt will add decoction characteristic to your beer that consist of honey, hints of stone fruit and biscuity undertones. It will lend a unique layer of complexity to pale lagers, fest biers, pale ales, IPAs and stouts. Grist bill recommendations are <10% for light colored beers and <20% for stouts.
